RE: The Hive Experience...For A Noob!

in LeoFinance4 years ago

welcome @rick-scarrow!

I've been trying to onboard friends in Holland since the Sssstmit days :) and the answers are all the same: too busy, too complicated, maybe in the future, bla bla bla. Didn't even matter when I showed them a post where rewards went above 200 bucks. Nope. Lazy.

And I can say quite surely that plenty of them got into financial trouble when the pandemic appeared and a lot of businesses were closed for a long time. If they only had listened.. Lately I've at least managed to finally show one friend there (thanks to Listnerds!) that his passion has to be shared on Hive and Listnerds as it would do well. He's ill now so it may take another week or two, but at least that's one more convinced.

I've been trying to throw the ball at people here before leaving too, let's see if our last weeks suddenly means a few more onboarded people. :)

lol that’s always an attention grabber. hey look, this post earned $300 lol captures attention pretty quick. but not sustainable

True :) haha it lasted while the steem price was high but then votes dropped obv as account values dropped. I did have some good months though :) But I rather focus on mentioning it to people that have great skills or are already good content creators than telling random people that only signed up for the high earnings and lose interest as soon as things get tough.

Something this good can only continue to grow. Even if it is a slow ascend, you would think that it will slowly become easier. Plus, apps and tools will likely create more ease in the process as well.

I know I will be pushing people to hop on the Hive Train as well.
