There's a saying most people say around the community, mostly among the poor community that "Money doesn't buy happiness". Well I can't completely say that this is truth or lies, it may be based on what they have experience than make them conclude so. But I will say that in many case this is true. When wealth is earned through dishonesty or through a very harmful means, the money automatically carries fear and insecurity.
Let me use our locality for example, in Nigeria, we have series of internet fraud we mostly call them "Yahoo boys" some of them even go as far as using human sacrifice to get rich. Someone who obtained money from this means, will always have one spiritual attack or the other which make them not to have peace of mind. These individuals faces a lot especially at night, even at that, ehey still face hurnt from that government. In this sense, the money here doesn't bring happiness instead it comes with burden.
There are most cases where money are earn from a legit means, the money will bring happiness. It bring financial stability for the man which provides freedom. With this, the man is able to make choice, about where to live, what he wants to wear or how to spend his time. This type of money reduces stress and people who earn money from bad source tends to envy them. In Nigeria, we see them having freedom to go out, meet with people and do business wothout having to worry what sacrifice you will do next. This make thr few people who indulge in bad way of generating money envy them. Good money always, opens doors to opportunities like the education, travel, and experiences that enrich life and create lasting memories.
The Balance Between Wealth and Well‑Being:
If you look at it ehh, money, by itself, is a neutral factor, it is what decides the effect of money on people's happiness is the manner in which it is earned and used. If the money is obtained in an honest and clean way and used sensibly, money makes life better because it gives a person safety and freedom. If, however, money is grabbed through dishonest ways and is still used in a bad manner, then it may cause a person to feel sorrow inside and be filled with regret. Genuine happiness is not hidden in having riches only, but rather in achieving a harmonious financial success vs.valuation, purpose, and relationships balance.
