Otherwise, Turkish media have reported that Turkey has sent police units to Albania, Kosovo and northern Macedonia to support efforts there to pursue Faruk Fatih Özer, executive director of Thodex, the Turkish cryptocurrency exchange platform.

According to Turkish media, an international arrest warrant has been issued for Ozer, who escaped to the Albanian capital Tirana last week and is believed to have kept the cryptocurrency codes of those clients worth up to $ 2 billion.

According to the media, Thodex, with more than 390,000 users, closed operations last week while 70 people were arrested in Turkey as part of an investigation into the company. But 62 of those arrested were later released.

Turkish police have reportedly set up teams to investigate Ozer's whereabouts and to support the efforts of local security forces to find him.

He is wanted in Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo and northern Macedonia.
