Detty December

Ever heard the slogan detty December? I guess not lol... but I'd tell you about it.

It's quite a common slogan in my environment which makes reference to high spending, alot of going out, and recreational fun activities in the month of December. This is a season where money is Spent almost without caution or any iota of prudence.

Being the month of Christmas and the year end, in my country, a lot of people are usually prepared to outdo themselves throwing parties, clubbing, visiting exotic locations etc. Tons and tons of money is spent on drinking the most expensive wines, throwing the most expensive parties, travelling to resort locations etc. What we see is sometimes people go through this without any thoughts for tomorrow. By tomorrow I mean no thoughts for the coming month 'January ' and how they will survive. Only very few are preudent enough to remember to save for tomorrow.

How Clean Is Your January?

Save for January! How else can I say this without sounding like a mom. Detty December can be contagious. There is the desire to feel among, feel big and feel rich. For some it is the desire to just splurge after a long hard year and not think about anything else. Whatever your reasons or the case may be, please remember January has its on bills, its own demands, its own expectations, its own emergencies etc. So whats your December going to be like?
