Yes, Threads isn't limited to Finance, crypto etc. It's open to any subject or topic :) Welcome aboard!
I'm not sure about why it posted twice, but the edit feature isn't available yet in the new UI - hopefully soon! You can edit in the old UI or other front-ends for now.
