They've simply made too much utility for too many people.
Even if they get shuttered out of the "proper company" of western nation-regulated stables, there's still the whole rest of the world that they effectively bank. And will for a while.

That's the currency everyone use without even noticing here in Venezuela. A lot of people says "I receive Binance" but don't even know the coin they are using is called USDT.
