I hope you're all having a pleasant weekend so far. Although today is going to be sunny and somewhat warm here in southern California, the air is kind smoky. Those fires up in Los Angeles are putting off a lot of smoke even down here in Orange county. I feel bad for all the people losing their homes in the fires, it would be devastating to lose and the memories, pictures, and all your furniture you had accumulated over the years. I hope they can control those fires soon!
It's Saturday again which means it's time for another Saturday Savers post. I joined this community mid last year to help me achieve my goals here on Hive, and it really has helped. I had plenty of things I wanted to accomplish but would often fall short because I wasn't really properly tracking them. By just writing them down and reviewing them every week I find I'm much more able to reach my goals. It's also fun to see improvement every week in my accounts!
First a quick look at Hive over the last week:

We keep seeing pumps over the $0.50 mark. It would be nice to see some higher pushes, but these hills and valleys to provide opportunities for a quick profit. With any luck we will stay above $0.50 long term, but only time will tell there...
Time to jump into the purpose of this post, let's see how this last week treated me!
Hive Power
I have set my initial HP goal for this year at 10,000, which I feel is relatively easy to accomplish. As I mentioned previously, it's likely my first benchmark for a push much higher. I have increased my HP by 93 this week and currently have 6,425 staked Hive. Not a bad week, but I would really like to see at least 100 or more each week. I may need to start converting some HBD to Hive weekly to ensure I can reach my goals. The hard part is finding the low points between pumps to get the best price!
PIMP
This past year I failed to reach my goal of 50K staked PIMP. I haven't begun to buy any as of yet, but will start to pick up some at good prices. I do earn daily from posting and from tips, so even without purchases I see my totals increasing. As of this morning I have 33,667 PIMP, so only 16.3K more to go. This year I will cross this one off the accomplished list!
As I have mentioned in the past, PIMP is the only token here on Hive that is backed by physical silver. That ensures that it will always be worth something!
Leo
I decided to make this a goal on my list for the year, to try to reach five thousand staked LEO which would give me six staked based curations per month. Last year the goal was two thousand staked LEO which I accomplished. At the moment I have just over 2,280 total LEO, so I'm on my way toward the goal already!
EDSI
My goal this year is to reach 200 EDSI, and I have yet to start buying on this token. I currently have 102.07 of these and one EDSMM miner giving me a chance to earn some through the mining lottery. I probably need to pick up about two a week and I should achieve this goal easily, so I'll have to watch out for some good deals on Hive Engine!
HSBI
Unlike last year, I'm not setting any goals on stacking more HSBI. I will keep this section in my weekly post though and I will continue to build up my numbers but I have reached a point that I don't feel like I need to actively stack more. It's a good program that offers you curations on your posts once you accumulate enough of them. I currently have 3,423 units, up 27 on the week. The way it works is you can sponsor another person by sending one Hive to @steembasicincome , the sponsored person receives a HSBI unit and in return, the sponsor also receives one HSBI unit. Just make sure to include the Hive name of the person you are sponsoring in the memo. It pays to give in this program!
I offer a weekly giveaway of ten HSBI units and will include the link below. I also earn some more units by sponsoring Shadow Hunters each week. I will also share a post I put together about a year back with some information on the program for those who are unfamiliar with it. I'm very happy with the curations I receive on my posts though, but it took over a year to get to where I am now! I started off with a grand total of eleven last year.

DUO
It's time again for me to shill my favorite token of them all, the DUO token which I helped create. About six months ago along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools we created the DUO token to help fill voids in the Hive community. The purpose of the token is to accumulate enough Hive Power to be able to use a portion to support new onboards and help retain them through encouragement and with curations. We currently have more than 36,031 HP in the curation account, and are already onboarding and actively searching for new Hive members that want to grow their accounts here in the community.
Our new guest author program is allowing Hive members to earn by posting original content on the duo-curator account. Please see our latest duo-curator posts for rules and information on how to participate. You can receive half of the earnings from the post plus five DUO tokens and if you want we can even pay you out in DUO tokens to build your personal stash.
We also have a new number guessing game in our update posts where you can win some free DUO. Don't forget to check out our posts and guest posts for a chance to win some! Free DUO is pretty sweet!
DUO token holders receive by far the greatest benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!
I currently have over 1,300 of these and will be continuing to purchase them. Once this tranche of tokens sells out the price will jump from one Hive to 1.5 Hive each. My advice is to buy in early while they are less expensive! Plus you will make money as soon as this batch sells out due to the price increase! All Hive from token purchases is locked into Hive Power and will never be powered down.
Other Tokens
I will continue to hold onto my staked DBOND and DAB tokens. It's a nice program that builds up over time earning you more money with essentially no effort. Staked DBOND tokens pay out DAB tokens, which you can stake to get paid out more DBOND tokens. Alternatively you can leave DAB unstaked to receive liquid Hive instead. I'm very happy with these! My current DBOND balance is 271.98 and DAB balance is 48.973.
SIM token I am continuing to hold over one million and receive daily liquid Hive for the investment. However, the price of the token has been going down over the last few months. I am still considering doubling my stake to just over two million, but waiting to see how the price does before investing more money into it. The charts haven't changed but I'm keeping an eye on it daily!
POB token I currently stake all I earn and delegate it to pob.voter. In return they pay our some liquid Hive weekly which is always a welcome perk. I only have 1,257 of them now, I might make a buy to add to my stake to earn more rewards. It's also a great program to look into if you want to earn liquid Hive every week.
BBH and BBHO are also great programs. BBH is a tipping token which allows daily tips depending on how many you hold, I have over 50K now which gives me 50 daily tips to give which I never manage to exhaust. BBHO is a nice token also created by Bradley Arrow that pays out weekly payouts of various tokens, even DUO if you hold over 2,000 staked (which I do!) I currently have 2,514 staked BBHO. While I don't have any set goals here it might be nice to make 5K BBHO by years end. I may add this one in later!
CAV is a nice token as well that pays liquid Hive to it's holders and has an aim to help veterans of the armed forces of all nations here on Hive. As a veteran myself I think it's a great token. I'm going to start adding some of these weekly , although I only have seven at the moment!
RUG is a token that earns income outside of Hive using liquidity pools and brings the proceeds back into Hive, 75% of earnings are paid out to RUG holders in the form of DBONDs. I never invested heavily in this program as it was launching at the same time as DUO token, most of my free funds went to DUO at the time. I may start to pick up a few RUG here and there though! It should help me accumulate more DBONDs.
Silver
Silver is once again above $30 per Troy ounce which is right around where it's been for awhile now. The chart over the last five days almost looks more like and EKG reading that a silver chart, but it seems to be trending ever so slightly up. Silver has uses in industry, electronics, as well as jewelry and coins or bars. I'm still very bullish in the long term, as there is a relative shortage of silver. There have been rumors as well that China is stockpiling it as well along with gold which will push prices up.

Every week I try to share some fun ways you can invest in silver. Last year Samoa produced these commemorative Monopoly money silver and gold foil notes. This one contains 5 grams of .9999 fine silver, and is a fun way invest in silver!
These beauties are being sold for $39.99 at APMEX.com. The downside is pretty big though, there is only about $4.88 worth of silver in each one of these. That's a really high premium in my opinion. I won't be buying any of these, the premium is just too high. But if you're a Monopoly fan this might be right up your alley!

Looking at the videos, it's hard to believe the fires have caused so much devastation!!🙄
They're evacuating some areas all the way to the 405 freeway, that's a huge area in danger right now. I never thought it could have gotten that far, but mismanagement of funds has it's consequences. Maybe now people will vote for responsible candidates from now on, but I doubt it...

The fires in Los Angeles are really sad, brother. Here in Venezuela, sometimes we also go through difficult situations, and to see how others lose their homes and memories, makes me feel very sad.
I hope that soon they can control those fires and that the affected families find relief, I have seen the ones and it is really sad to see that.
Silver this week has had a high peak but then did what the market knows how to do, correct. I really liked that bill, I would be very happy to have one.
Some are saying this may end up being the worst fire in world history. I never thought that it could burn through so much so fast. I live south of Los Angeles in Orange county. The mountains are so far away that that couldn't happen here, but north of Los Angeles there are homes all over the hills and has burnt down to the freeway. Very scary to think that it was possible, and running out of water in the hydrants. A lot will be learned from this and things will have to change, many "leaders" won't have jobs much longer!
