Merry Christmas Everyone! Shanghai Silver Hits $77!

I wanted to take a few minutes to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. If you don't celebrate Christmas then a Happy Holidays! Here in California it's anything but a white Christmas, nor is it even sunny. Today it's nothing but rain, rain, and more rain. There has been significant flooding in Los Angeles and even some places here in Orange county, but nowhere near me thank goodness. I had hoped for some sunshine, but Santa did not deliver on that wish!

However, Santa keeps delivering on my silver wishes. Although the precious metals markets are closed in most of Europe and the US, they most certainly aren't in Asia. I woke up today to find that Shanghai silver was at $77! Yesterday prices were only at $71, so that's a huge climb overnight. We'll see it those prices hang on until the markets open in Europe and the US tomorrow, but it looks like the silver rocket ride is far from over. That makes it a very Merry Christmas to all of us who are silver stackers!

The only downside to the increasing silver prices is it makes investing in it a little more expensive. Okay, a lot more expensive. Earlier this year it was less than $30 per Troy ounce, what a difference less than a year has made. How long will silver continue to surge upward? Who knows... What we do know is that there is a worldwide shortage in silver supplies and it can't be refined nearly fast enough to keep up with demand. Many industrial companies using silver for cars and electronics are buying up silver directly from the mines putting even more pressure on the shortages. Chances are it may surpass $100 in the very near future, something I never thought possible only a few months ago to be honest.

If you aren't a silver or gold stacker, it's never to late to start and there's no time like the present. You can buy small coins or bars that even come in even 1/2 gram and keep buying regularly. It will stack up faster than you think, and it's a great investment! The silver rocket ride is far from over!
