ok Brazilian chocolate truffles makes sense lol! I know that I presented to some french canadians that called it bonbons !
I could see people calling them Bonbons too, though that sounds a bit more old fashioned to me for some reason lol

I think it's a french word, makes sense they use it in Canada and down there in Brasil too
