We are already transitioning. I am from the school that believes we are already merging with our technology. The internet is basically a part of us as it is. Sure we use external devices like phones but they are always with us.

By the end of this decade, we will be so into Ar/VR that we would be able to separate the world from the Internet since it will be woven over the world.

Yes, I think like that as well.

Our phones, smart-watches, or whichever device one prefers to use, are pretty much extensions of our bodies. It's only a matter of time for them to become indistinguishable parts of ourselves.

My dad got a defibrillator a number of years ago. He is connected to his cardiologists office (actually I am sure the cloud) anywhere in the continental US. If his heart stops, he is zapped.

That's a perfect example. I didn't know we were there already, that's very good!

Probably not for everyone yet, but fortunately technology always makes things more accessible.

It keeps expanding. There is no stopping it. People who are not keeping up are going to be baffled with each passing year. Since things are so advanced already, they are starting from a higher baseline in addition to more powerful technology.
