Too bad they have a bad name because of the disasters that happened in the past. That really hurts adoption because some politicians want nothing to do with them.
I think it is good alternative. There may have been some bad situations like Japan but I feel like safeguards have been made and equipment have also improved to be less accident prone. Thus I think the energy is cheap and environmentally friendly enough to be used. The only problem is that the nuclear bombs and the nuclear accidents have made people very fearful.
Compared to other forms of generating electricity , this is viable and also cleaner . India has been making good progress in increasing its share of generating electricity through Nuclear power , I support it .
I'm hearing about Nuclear Fusion power, which in the future is supposed to produce more energy and less waste than Fission.
I live in-between two nuke plants and wouldn't mind if they were further away from us! :)

Oh yea, that's definitely going to be a game-changer. From what I've read, we are still a bit far away from that but it's really promising.
And I can imagine that it would be nicer to live further away from a nuclear power plant, even though they are a lot safer nowadays.

That is because of the lack of security and lack of proper precautions according to me . The govt always seem to neglect these.
