From what I hear, many people seem to prefer a linear curation curve. I don't really know much about it but it seems a better option indeed.
But I was wondering if there is any upside to a non-linear curve... just out of curiosity

Well if you check Hive - it is non-linear that means whoever votes first on the post gets larger curation rewards than who votes latter but in linear rewards no matter when you vote , you get fixed curation rewards .
In Leo , stem it is 50% curation rewards but in CTP it is 40% .

Yeah, I read about that somewhere. I prefer the fixed systems, but I know some people prefer the non-linear format. Just wondering why they prefer that hehe
Personally, fixed rewards is a lot better to me because I do manual curation and sometimes I find really good posts that are a bit "old"

Because they are not satisfied with 50% curation reward , with non-linear format if you vote early and if big votes come by later on then you earn more than 50% that's why .

The linear rewards are a lot easier to explain to newer people. The present curation system is very difficult to understand.
The 5 minute window is expanding though.

I didn't get you. What do you mean by it? They are increasing it?

Ahh that makes sense now. Thanks!

To be honest , I have been here for considerable amount of time and I don't understand the non-linear rewards concept fully lol.
