I'm more afraid of what the left does with good intentions than the craziness of the right...
I know if the right does something more authoritarian everyone will call them out... But the left will sprinkle sugar on it and make it seem well intended.
"Freedom os speech? We need to take it away because of the bad racists "
"Freedom of commerce? We need to control it or some bad people might wash money, and we need to tax the rich because of the bad evil rich ppl"
"Freedom of religion? Only if it doesn't go against what we think"
"Freedom of movement? Only if you are full vaccinated, triple boosted, and only if you don't pollute much"
The road to hell is paved with good intentions... And the left is full of good intentions.
That's why I'm normally right wing, because I'm a freedom above all voter/investor.
I am in the 'leave me the fuck alone and stop stealing my money' camp. Which side is that? I hate the whole 2 party system which is completely broken like ALL of the governments in the world, but I will say that if Trump doesn't win, we are in for a world of shit.
Instead of stacking sats, I trade sats to stack bullets, lol.
I don't live in America, my country has multiple parties, but what happens is that instead of having left and right, we have centre left and right and then communists, Marxists, conservatives and liberals.
But normally who wins is the centre left or right.
So there isn't much difference.
I have zero trust in Kamala too, Trump is a wild card, but Kamala is not, we know what will happen if she gets elected, less freedom of speech, less economic freedom, more illegal immigrants, more illegal activity without accountability, we know because she has said it and she has been president for 4 years now and it is what we've seen.
Yep, that's why I stack more bullets than sats, lol.
I appreciate this take. I think both parties are equally corrupt and twisted but the left is better at PR, especially for people who aren’t paying attention and that can make them more dangerous because there isn’t the same level of pushback.
I doubt I will ever vote for either of these parties though, and I think people overestimate the influence of national politics and underestimate the power of how they choose to lead their lives.
The best freedom you can get is working your arse off trying to achieve fu** you money, with that you can basically seperate yourself from politics because you can choose where to live.
