Time to power up your LEO for lpud

Hello Hello lions and lionesses and bees of the Hive.

Today is the fifteenth of August and because it is the 15th that means it is a Power Up Day, actually a LEO Power Up Day.

Today is the 3rd LEO Power Up Day or #lpud for short.

I have successfully participated in both previous editions so this will be my 3-in-a-row!

WHAT IS POWER UP?

Power up is a term to describe the staking of your liquid token. In this case staking $LEO into LEO POWER (LP)

WHY POWER UP?

• You are growing your LEO stake
• You are enabling yourself to receive greater - curation rewards
• You are helping the $LEO token grow
• You are helping the LEO ecosystem grow
• You are helping the HIVE blockchain grow
• You could possibly win a LP delegation
• IT IS FUN!

MY AUGUST POWER UP

As you can see I had 150.570 LEO avialable to be staked or powered up. Last week once I found that the minimum requirement had been lowered from 200HP I actually powered up almost 50 LEO that I had extra and kept 150 LEO ready for today.

I hit that power up button and have a new LP of 980.969.

I have set myself a goal of 2500 HP and 2500 LP by the end of 2022, I call it the Race to 2500!

Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be more than 200 and less than 20k
You must power up at least 150 Leo on August 15.
You must not have powered down Leo since June 15.

PS if you are like me and winless in editions 1 and 2 of #lpud then ...

If you participate in the Leo Power Up Day initiative for three consecutive months - June, July, & August - and you don't win any prize on any of these editions, and you made a post about #LPUD each of those months, then you qualify for the Bad Luck Prize by @onealfa, where he will delegate 60,000 LEO tokens for three weeks to on lucky winner!

Bottom line though it is FUN to grow your LEO account even if you aren't a winner of a delegation!
