Bluesky rapidly gained 3 million users within days of X’s ban in Brazil, with its overall user count going past 9 million earlier this month. The company said more than 85% of new users were from Brazil.

Last week, Bluesky said it was seeing record activity on the platform, and because of people signing up in bulk, the platform experienced a few server glitches.
