The Kuiper satellites will be designed to provide internet access to users in remote and underserved areas, where traditional fiber-optic connections are not available. The initial plan was to launch the Kuiper satellites using a combination of launch vehicles, including the Falcon 9 rocket developed by SpaceX and the Atlas V rocket developed by United Launch Alliance.
