In this video, Sam Evans talks about four new batteries that Tesla is working on. Tesla has not confirmed the news yet, but Sam Evans believes it is true because Tesla suppliers in China have confirmed it. The four new batteries are called NC5, NC20, NC30, and NC50. Each battery has a different purpose and energy density. .

The NC5 battery is the base model battery and has the lowest energy density. It is made with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Chemistry. The NC20 battery has higher energy density and is made with nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) chemistry. The NC30 battery also has higher energy density and is made with NMC chemistry, but it also uses silicon. The NC50 battery is the highest energy density battery and is made with NMC chemistry and silicon. Tesla plans to use the NC5 battery in the base model versions of its cars, such as the Cybertruck and Model 3.

The NC20 battery will be used in longer range versions of its cars, such as the Cybertruck and Model S. The NC30 battery will be used in performance vehicles, such as the Tesla Roadster and Cyberbeast. The NC50 battery will be used in the next generation Tesla Roadster and Cyberbeast.
