In 2014, Facebook made a big move that signaled its future direction it bought Oculus, a company that specialized in virtual reality (VR). With Oculus, users could step into immersive digital worlds using VR headsets. At the time, VR was mostly popular with gamers, but Zuckerberg saw its potential to change how we interact with technology and each other.
