The Structure of a Solar Panel
A typical solar panel consists of several layers:
- Top layer: The tOP layer is typically made of a transparent material, such as glass or plastic, which protects the photovoltaic cells.
- Photovoltaic cells: The photovoltaic cells are the heart of the solar panel and convert light into electrical energy.
- Anti-reflective coating: The anti-reflective coating reduces the amount of light that's reflected back onto the photovoltaic cells.
- Backsheet: The backsheet is the bottom layer of the solar panel and provides additional structural support and protection.
