ESA scientists have developed a new method for lunar exploration using 4.5 billion-year-old meteorite dust to create 3D-printed LEGO bricks.
Scientists at the European Space Agency (ESA) drew inspiration from LEGO brick building to design launch pads and shelters for astronauts in the Artemis program. To explore the feasibility of using space materials for construction, the team 3D printed bricks resembling LEGO using meteorite dust, testing their viability as building blocks for scaled-down structures.
