3D printing stalwart Formlabs confirms ‘small number’ of layoffs affecting around 40
The layoffs occurred in waves over the past two years, and as recently as the last few weeks.
Formlabs on Thursday confirmed that it has laid off a “small number” of employees, TechCrunch has exclusively learned. The 3D printing firm says the figure amounts to less than 40 of a total headcount of just under 750 employees.
Maybe they laid off that 5% or so of employees due to redundancy of the positions? I call that pulling an @elonmusk. He don't like redundancy!

That is true. Companies do get fat.
I do have to wonder, however, with all the layoffs in tech, if they are figuring out ways to automate these people out of jobs. We will never know of course but it does seem like we are seeing them get away with a lot fewer workers.
