Will Robots Ever Have Free Will?

How did you embed the Tik Tok video?

oh no big brother it's actually a gif of a TikTok video, so we could easily create gif from any video including TikTok, that's the trick 😂😁😁🤐🤐 the downside is no sound

Ah okay. Very creative. Well I would suggest you keep doing that. OL

absolutely brother, thanks for the encouragement

Not likely. They are basically stupid without AI. Unlike humans, they can be separated.

🤔🤔🤔🤔 well said brother,I get it. Well that's great news.

What if god wanted you to throw the egg? !LOL

🤔🤔🤔 hahahahha it could be, this is seriously tricky hahahhaha

I need to figure out the best treatment for my narcolepsy.

I was looking for something technological, but now I'm walking around with photographs :) !VSC

Compared to how photographs use to be taken, it is technology.

Yes, but even though I once developed film and printed photographs, I am not an expert in analog and electronic equipment who can reveal the intricacies of this matter :) !VSC

No reason to be. That is like being an expert on horses. Other than as a hobby, we get in a vehicle and go.

There are too many situations when incompetence reveals not film, but stupidity, therefore, I try to be careful in those areas in which I am not very knowledgeable, after all, I remember about the monkey climbing a palm tree :) !BEER

I learned that by climbing the palm tree myself. It wasnt as easy as it looked in Castaway.

Hey @taskmaster4450le, here is a little bit of BEER from @barski for you. Enjoy it!

We love your support by voting @detlev.witness on HIVE .

I hope that while sitting on a palm tree you did not try to pull out your bad tooth and did not convince yourself that the cat nut is your imaginary friend with whom you will have to part after building a raft from the same palm tree !BEER

Hey @taskmaster4450le, here is a little bit of BEER from @barski for you. Enjoy it!

And to not to be too serious today:

It would be upsetting if it wasnt Microsoft.

Were you affected by the current issues somehow?

I was asleep when everything was down so that was fortunate for me. I havent seen any issues yet.

Good for you :) I had some minor troubles with Azure based apps I use at work, but everything seems to have settled down already.

Question:

Would you love to have AI robots work for you instead of human beings? Give reasons for your answer.

Of course.

In business, all owners are going to love that. Robots can work 120+ hours per week, dont call in sick or show up hung over, no HR department required, and no benefits.

On a personal level, which is likely further out, people will have robots doing their personal chores, along with AI, to handle tasks they have to do for free.

Good reason, so the robots do the hard work or labour.

Having a robot do personal chores will be great, give more time for one's self. I'm thinking, could robots do some cooking?

Remember when 100% of clothes washing was by hand. The same with dishes. Then washing machines and dishwashers came into being.

A humanoid robot will do that, just being able to handle more tasks.

You're right. Things are a lot easier with washing machines and dishwashers.

I thought as much.

It is easy to overlook some of the things we have today which werent present in the past. Then consider how tough like was without them.

Nice. So where do you think humans would come in?

Where do humans come in for the wealthy? Notice they have people to wait on them hand and foot. What do they do?

That is the answer.

Oh! I see.

I feel ai would take over people's jobs soon

Lol, soon? It's already doing that. People have been laid off their jobs.

We can either learn to create an AI tool or use an AI tool to get better in our skills and execute our work better.

Learn prompting.

#leoai will be a fine addition. We have a lot of potential together to enhance what we are doing on here.

That's a good one.

Exactly. I'm excited about what it would do.

We all can benefit from studying this.

It is already happening.

Watch for areas where there is no safety or security concerns.

That is why I focus upon Hollywood and entertiainment...it is transitioning quickly.

This global outage is some crazy stuff. I guy from work lives on the 52nd floor and the building's elevator is offline due to the outage

All kinds of crazy stuff messed up.

That is a lot of floors to walk down. Even worse going up.

"Americans Are Lazy..." AI, Robot Automation Is GOing To Take Over the Food, Restaurant Industry

#ai #automation #technology #restaurants

Coming out of this game 5 years ago... I have been saying it for years... and it's starting to happen!

Yep. It was coming. The advancement of humanoid robots in such a short time tells me the entire story. With the advancements in LLMs, that is going to integrate them easier into the workplace.

Mc Donald's workers at $20 an hour also points towards an inevitable outcome.

Yeah. No surprise there.

Math is hard I guess for politicians (if they cared of course). We know where that goes.

There are only so many ways to split up a dollar.

Whether good or bad all roads point towards what many of us having been saying for a long time now...

Yep. Stupid policy only accelerates the #technological thrust that is taking place. Companies didnt need more motivation which is what these laws give them.

Automate or close up shop.

Simple math.

Robots don't call in sick and you don't have to tip them either . There's that.

Nope. Dont have to pay them overtime and can work then 120 hours per week.

Plus no HR department required.

Changing browsers!

A few days ago I discovered that Firefox behaves much better with #InLeo than the Brave browser I was using. So I started the migration and went back to the old fox, which will now centralize my Hive activities!

#technology

Is there anything specific that is working better on FF than brave? I’d love to fix the #feedback

In my case, what led me to make this change is that I took an old link saved in favorites that was supposed to show me a thread. In Brave I couldn't read it, I always received an error message. In Firefox the same link opened on the first attempt.

However, I can still find some problems.
This image is of logged in FF (error), and anonymous FF (thread displayed normally).

After I load the thread in private mode, if I refresh the page in logged in mode and I can view it. Bizarre... but it works.

please i need the podcast link 🖇️

This is not for The Lions Den. That will be a different threadcast and the spaces havent been set up yet.

Oh? That will be a fun month. Let's see what they will purge.

Let me guess that the ongoing global outage might be discussed today :D

I am going to write an article about a decentralized chatbot that is out. Have used it a little bit. This is a step in the right direction.

It is something that is worth looking into.

We need to pull as much as we can away from Big Tech.

Yes! AI is getting faster, cheaper, and SMARTER — but there are THREE PROBLEMS with Adoption

Major chipmakers' stocks waffle after Biden, Trump warnings rattle investors

Google faces Italy competition probe over 'misleading and aggressive' pursuit of user data

Google faces an antitrust probe in Italy over potential “misleading and aggressive” commercial practices – the latest in an escalating series of competition inquiries targeting the Big Tech giant in the US and Europe.

Italy’s competition authority said its probe is focused on the consent requests that Google sends to users regarding their data. The requests “appear to provide no relevant information” on the “real effect that consent has on Google’s user of personal data.”

How people are being tricked by deepfake doctor videos on social media

Deepfaking is using artificial intelligence to create sophisticated digital fabrications of real people.

What a pain!

Some of the UK’s most famous TV doctors are increasingly seeing their names and likenesses co-opted to sell scam products to unsuspecting social media users, new research warns.

The phenomenon is called deepfaking — using artificial intelligence to create sophisticated digital fabrications of real people. In these faux videos, a person’s head may be superimposed onto another person’s body, or their voice may be replicated in a convincing way.

Christie's is all in on holograms ahead of its annual Art & Tech Summit

“We want to keep our heritage, but technology is where Christie’s is really focused,” Christie’s president Bonnie Brennan told The Post.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, “Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary and venture capitalist Vinod Khosla are descending on New York City this week for a technology-focused summit hosted not by an internet giant — but by the 258-year old auction house Christie’s.

Bonnie Brennan, the firm’s President, Americas, told The Post that having some of the most notable minds in AI and tech spend their week at Christie’s Rockefeller Center headquarters demonstrates how the company has repositioned itself.

Microsoft and CrowdStrike Issues Affect Flights and Businesses

Airlines, banks and broadcasters were among the companies around the world reporting disruptions, citing technical issues.

A massive global technology outage on Friday took down airlines, medical services, TV broadcasts, banks and scores of other business and services around the world, a stunning example of the fragile dependence the global economy has on certain software and the cascading effect it can have when things go wrong.

#newsonleo #internet #crowdstrike #technology

There will be calls of how we are too dependent upon #technology. This happens each time something major happens.

Decentralization is important those. This is why having new infrastructure is vital.

Elon Musk is now a villain in Joe Biden's presidential campaign

Biden centering Musk in his campaign is a notable escalation, considering he spent most of his presidency seemingly pretending the billionaire didn't exist.

Elon Musk has made it clear he doesn’t like Joe Biden. But since Musk officially endorsed and is reportedly financially backing Donald Trump in this year’s presidential campaign, Biden is returning the favor. The president is now directly campaigning on Musk — and other high-profile and wealthy Silicon Valley VCs — supporting Trump’s bid.
