Even current open source models are amazing... I heard a lot of amazing things about Qwen2.5-coder!
We are going to see that spread rapidly in my view. There are a lot of participants in the open source realm now. This isnt like the 1990s when most developers worked for major tech firms.
I have the
q4quantization of Qwen2.5-coder's 3B Model, and while it's not perfect, it's still good to have when I need code fixing offline.Of course, ChatGPT, even in its Free version is much better when I have access to the internet.
