If Biden and the Admin was smart, they would pump as much #oil as possible and flood the market to crush the economy of Russia and the Saudis. This shows the destruction of the Russian economy isnt the goal.
I think everyone is trying to fetch profit out of this war incident. That's not good at all. We should move towards renewable energy sources faster.
Should we move toward renewables faster? Yes. Should we quit fossil fuels yesterday? No. Can they coexist as we transition from FF to renewables? Yes. Can we rely on solar & wind for primary sources? No. Can we rely on nuclear power? Yes.
Yes you are right, renewable sources are not powerful as FF, so we need to work this out and until then, FF and nuclear are our best option.
It doesn't make sense 2limit ICE vehicles when there is no refueling infrastructure in place 4 D EVs. Refueling EVs can also come in the form of swapping out battery packs, especially since recharging takes too long & is hard on batteries.
The Saudis will give Biden the same treatment his administration gets from Xi and China: anything from an upturned nose to the back of the hand.
