Swimming pool blue 1978 VW Rabbit... complete with that "draggy" sound the tapes made during Texas summers... sounds now being created via the "synthwave" music genre...
Crazy thing about 8-track tapes was that they had EIGHT TRACKS on one magnetic strip, so you could push the 1-8 buttons and switch tracks (all playing at the same time).
Ended up owning an 8-track player along the way somehow. Mine didn't come with the a car though.
Cant even find 8 track players in Goodwill anymore.
Oh wow. Haven't looked recently. But sense with how things change with new coming out, old being moved out, and others disappearing, and what not.
8 track players arent old anymore...they are ancient.
We had in one of these - I was a kid though
Ours had 2 black stripes in the middle and 2 massive headlights for the long lights. Was crazy! And my dad loved playing "blinded by the light"
I'm still searching for a nice Capri!
Too bad the one we had went up in flames. It was absolutely gorgeous

I'm not gonna lie to you task, I've never seen 8 track tapes written out before but I have heard people talk about them
Up until this thread, I literally thought they were "A-track tapes"

For a moment I thought that was a Ford Pinto. Then I saw the TOYOTA badge.
