The IRS delays the filing and paying of taxes one month. This is good news, the longer we can put it off the better.
State income taxes still have to be paid on time. Good thing I live in a state without one.

I think they pushed it until June or July last year.
Even a month extension is nice although I am not sure it helps the accountants out at all since they have to do the return for the states anyway.
For me, it is good news. Put things off another month.

I wanted to postpone it again, I have to pay FIES :(
But speaking of taxes, sometimes I stop and think how people here in Brazil manage to survive with so much tax. The worst thing is that this amount of money is nowhere to be seen practically being used.

Yup, it's ridiculous
Speaking of which, my grandfather passed away recently and today I had a meeting with a lawyer to talk about the whole inventory process. The amount of bureaucracy and taxes is ridiculous.
As if it's not bad enough that people have to deal with the loss of a loved one, they also have to go through a lot of legal nonsense and pay a ton of money to get done with it.

Yea taxes kind of suck since the government wants information about everything. It's crazy how much they chase after taxes. I think the new delay is nice though.
