Not sure it is a game changer but the Associated Press will record basketball scores on Ethereum.
It is being tied into Everpedia which is supposedly a decentralized Wikipedia.

I find that to be the worst decision possible. Why would you want to spend an extra $30 everytime the price changes for a game. I would opt for a lower cost block chain that can handle the traffic. The people who run these things must have too much money.

I would say they have no idea there are options out there. They probably were sold it through an app that is tied to ETH.
Although I am sure if will be final scored and just be a large data dump once or twice a day.
But that is where we are, we just have everything being focused upon Ethereum and little else.

Yea this is the problem. If they went for a block chain without the high fees, its one less issue down the road. So I think its more that they don't have an expert and they didn't spend enough time researching. If they only looked at the money, then it might appear higher but only due to the added gas fees.
