The next online battle appears to be in the grocery industry.

Here is an article discussing all that Kroger is looking at doing to take on Amazon and Walmart. They are really looking to change how people get their groceries. I posted a video about this in here the other day.

Yea it seems like its the move that most corporations are going. I wonder if Target is also going this route because they seem to be more proud of their employees.

Are robots considered Woke?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No unless the programmer behind it makes it woke.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

money historically speaking has always replaced love! It is a matter of time for your employees to begin to be a burden, for something the numbers suggest that 60% of the jobs we see today performed by humans will be replaced by some new technology closely related to AI

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's very true. If the numbers look good, it doesn't matter how good the employees are, they are gonna go.

And it is something that unfortunately will happen very systematically but it will happen, you have to be prepared and be able to face this, I am sure that many here have families or responsibilities and it is something that will affect the economy of those who do not anticipate these changes!

Yes. We are fortunate because we found crypto early enough and that's gonna be our way out. But a lot of people who, by ignorance or fear, are out of it can end up in a very bad situation.

Let's see how the government responds. They need some way to either replace the jobs or pay people who can't find work.

governments are in the penultimate position of the pyramid of power, what the elite dictate in order to maximize profits, governments simply as good servant pawns, will make the necessary adjustments regardless of the well-being of the masses, you can find a more perspective extensive in a work called The Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion

Totally , our richest man released JioMart and tons of other companies are coming forward with the same concept .

It is good because I don't have to go 5 miles to get what I need which was the case before .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Sounds like a good plan. If they optimize the routes, then it wouldn't be as costly to transport the goods.

The idea of making our lives easier is something that I think all of us are for.

After all, I would say very few people enjoy going grocery shopping. In fact, that is something that I need to do today.

It isn't fun stuff.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I really hate it. I hate it to the point that I have studied the store occupation on different times and days to pick the ones when it's the emptiest and I also made a map of where things are so I can trace the fastest route to grab the stuff I need and get the f- out.

Not that I wrote it I realize I might be a psycho or something LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL yes that is also worthy of a discussion with your therapist...or parole officer.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Damn, Hive better moon soon cause I'll need some big bucks to pay for all those therapy hours LOL

More robots! Robots, robots everywhere! First Kroger who is next? Piggy Wiggly?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't even know what a piggly wiggly is lol.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I guess it is out of business.

It was a grocery chain, I think primarily in the south. I recall it being around 30 years ago or so.

I dont know if they ended up going out of business, got bought out, or what.

I had never heard of it either so I looked it up and they have a very interesting story!

Apparently, they were the first store that allowed customers to actually walk around the store and grab the goods themselves, instead of handing a list to a clerk and waiting for the clerk to get the goods.

From Wikipedia:

At the time of its founding, grocery stores did not allow customers to gather their own goods. Instead, a customer would give a list of items to a clerk, who would then go through the store, gathering them. This created a greater cost and higher prices. Piggly Wiggly introduced the innovation of allowing customers to go through the store, gathering their goods, thus cutting costs and lowering prices

Learn something new everyday.

I did not know that fact either although there is a good chance I end up forgetting.

Would you remind me in 4 or 5 months?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol. Why would you want to remember? It died for a reason so I don't think anybody misses it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It seems they didn't die though! Apparently, they were bought a couple of times and now they are mostly in medium or small cities, but still kicking

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

hahaha I know right! Yesterday we learned that the distance between genitals and butthole can indicate how fertile one is and today we learned about the store that created the self-service model LOL

Yea, I can remind you no problem :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That seems like common sense now. People are more likely to buy something they can see and touch. Might as well let people choose than charge them. Otherwise you might not buy something you think you might want.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

LOL are they ever around anymore. I remember them as a kid when I would visit my grandparents. There was a Piggly Wiggly where they lived.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I used to shop there back when I lived in North Carolina some years ago. There was Kroger, Harris Teeter, Piggy Wiggly and others.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'd love that but I believe it's gonna be a while before it gets to Brazil.
