This has been a long-time coming. We put a lot of resources into this one
The crazy thing is UX improvements. It's not a flashy new feature on the frontend but it can be noticed when you're flipping between screens, writing new threads, clicking notifications
Massive speed was just added, let me know if you notice the difference
Performance is never sexy but a lack of performance gets the masses upset.
So yeah, it is needed although not a lot of pats on the back.
