From what I've seen, Canada's general economy has had ups and downs over the past 5 years, but the tech sector's drop seems sharper. Tech job postings are down 19% since 2020, worse than the overall market. Tough times for tech folks compared to other industries lately

That is not surprising. Canada over that time has become heavily regulated. That kills innovation. It is why the EU is in so much trouble.

Yeah, heavy regulation can definitely stifle growth. It's a shame to see innovation take such a hit, especially in tech where things move so fast
