‘I apologise’ – Newcastle legend breaks TV studio celebrating Alexander Isak winner against Arsenal
A TV studio table was accidentally broken by a celebrating Shay Given after Newcastle's winning goal against Arsenal.
Alexander Isak scored with a thumping header from Anthony Gordon's cross with 12 minutes played at St. James' Park.
Newcastle fans were sent into delirium as they went in search of a first Premier Legaue win since mid-September.
One of those was Given who, despite not being in attendance for the clash, was still overjoyed by Isak's crucial goal.
So much so that whilst on punditry duty for BBC show Football Focus, his wild celebrations saw him break the table in front of him.
"I'm just going to let you in on a little secret," presenter Kelly Somers said. "It's been a bit chaotic in the studio.
"Shay Given has just broken part of the set. Why have you broken part of the set?"
Whilst holding what appeared to be a light fixture, Given admitted: "I just kicked the table by mistake, so I apologise."
Somers then asked: "Yeah, but why did you do that?"
