Well to be fair, the smartphone does a great deal more than previous generations.
It is not really comparable...the others were phones, this is a computer.

I agree that the tasks and work output you can have from a smartphone has improved exponentially between different phone generations. Though the combination of smartphones x social media (Tik Tok/reels/etc) is scary in what is doing to young people.
That is true. A lot of the it is not the device but social.
Hard to argue against the explosion that took place there.
