The difference is Madoff was in his 70s, SBF is still young. Bernie kicked the bucket within a decade of going away. SBF will have lots of time to think.

Good point. Will devastating news for such young guy. If indeed it should be that long. I'm guessing 6 years... he probably made some sort of a deal
If he only gets 6 years, there will be a lot of pushback. It will be absurd although I wouldnt rule it out.
