Leomarkettalk Joining pHBD-USDC

For those who are not aware, @leomarkettalk is a community initiative that was started right when the idea of #ProjectBlank came into being (August 2020). Here we are almost two years later and we are still waiting on that application.

In the meantime, the idea behind Leomarkettalk was to have a place whereby people can drop links, short form content, charts, and tweets. It is a great information source. Many are making come good connections and there are some contacts.

Each day a post goes up. Like any post, it is eligible for rewards. For this reason, we are going to support the community.

What is the highest priority community initiative now? That would be the pHDB-USDC liquidity pool.

For that reason, this is where the Leomarkettalk account will focus its attention.

Contributing HBD

In addition to the liquid HBD, we have this:

leomarkettalk.png

Between the liquid HBD and what is being freed up, we have over 2000. This is going to be moved, when the withdrawal is complete.

Thus we will have a position of roughly 1,000 HBD and 1,000 USDC to start.

Powering Down Hive

Leomarkettalk has about 1,800 HP that is unaccounted for. Throughout the rest of this year, it will be powered down and kept in a liquid state. We will keep this ready for a pump.

Once that happens, we will unload the HIVE for HBD using the Internal Exchange. This will give a little liquidity there while eating up some of the HBD.

This will also be directed in the pHBD-USDC pool

Ongoing HIVE and HBD

Any rewards that come in from the upvotes on the post will follow the same pattern as described above. We will not put any of the HBD into savings but, rather, move it all over to Polycub and add to the LP.

The idea is to keep growing the stake on there.

POLYCUB Payouts

Having a position in the liquidity pool will obviously entitle us to rewards. On Polycub this is in the native POLYCUB token. Therefore, we will be amassing that on a consistent basis.

We will be taking those proceeds, after the claim window has passed, converting them to pHBD-USDC and adding to the pool All our resources in this area are going to keep piling in.

Permanent Liquidity

This is a one-way street. One of the aspects to the Protocol that is powerful is the fact that bonding is going to allow for partial ownership of the LP. This means that the Protocol's liquidity will always remain in the pool.

Leomarkettalk's holdings will do the same. We will not remove them expect, perhaps, to bond for a nice profit and return right back into the pool. Even if that is not done, one the money goes in, it does not come out.

Permanent liquidity is important. We hope to help the entire project out by maintaining ours in the same way.

How You Can Help

Be sure to stop by @leomarkettalk on a daily basis and join us in the room. We have some terrific conversations. By the way, it is a great way to engage with comments, something that is important if you want to take 100 LEO from Khal.

Upvoting of the Leomarkettalk posts are appreciated. As stated, the HIVE and HBD proceeds will all end up in the LP, to help that become the deepest pool of HBD anywhere.

LEO

There is one other decision to make. We have over 1,000 LEO liquid in the account. This is in addition to the LP that is delegated out. The question is what to do with this LEO (and any forthcoming)?

Do we power it up and run some type of contest to delegate it out? Or do we sell it and put that in the the liquidity pool also?

Let me know in the comment section what you think.

That is all for now. We look to support the different facets of Leofinance. The addition of the new liquidity pool is going to bring value to both Hive and Polycub. For this reason, Leomarkettalk will do what it can to help.

This is a great idea. The goal of #LMT is to help the overall LeoFinance platform and the Hive ecosystem in general. I can't think of a better way of doing that than supporting the pHBD liquidity pool. That will end up benefitting everyone.

As far as the Leo goes, I wouldn't mind seeing that get delegated to newbies who participate in the LMT chat. Maybe offer it out in chunks of 100-250 to newbies who participate three days running...or whatever criteria you want to use. Leave it with them for 2 weeks (or longer if you don't run out) and then give them a chance to earn it back a week later or something.

Unfortunately, you'd probably want to find someone to keep track of that for you as it could get a little time-consuming. I'd offer, but I can barely get on here for a bit as it is and it's only going to get worse for the next couple months.

An interesting approach. It would be nice to entice new people to participate.

The only challenge is the track record with curation is not great. Perhaps we are better off having the LP delegated to someone who know is consistent and true. After all, we want it used on a daily basis.

The existing delegation is to @jfang003 because we know he uses it each day.

I think that is a great way to add to the liquidity pool. I like the idea that you are converting the PolyCUB back into stable coins to compound. At worst, you can always move the HBD back to Hive later with the extra HBD. It's not like the HBD is going to be doing anything special right now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It was just sitting there earning 20%. If we can take it and help out the LP on Polycub, this might be a good move. After all, Khal wants the deepest HBD pool there is.

We can add to that a little.

Great idea! Makes me even happier to be part of Leomarkettalk.

I think it would be nice to hold on to the LEO and use it for engagement-encouraging initiatives.

That is an option. It is only like $150 at today's prices. And I agree. run a contest to delegate to someone who is actively curating on Leofinance.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a good idea. We could run contests to delegate it to people for like 2 weeks or 1 month and then run another one and maybe do it so that the last winner is not eligible for the contest immediately after the one they won. That way everyone gets a chance to win if they commit enough time and effort

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There are ways to spread it around. However, we want someone who is going to use the LP for curation on a daily basis.

Many start but then wane very quickly. If the LP is not being used, what good is it to delegate?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's important. We must make sure that it's delegated to someone who will actually use it to support the LeoFinance community

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is my major concern with it. I like the idea but we saw over time how people, especially newer ones. receive LP or HP and do not use it.

Alright.

Now that we have a plan, I'm adding @leomarkettalk to my autovoter.

Ongoing HIVE and HBD

When it comes to the account's HIVE and HBD, I vote to power down everything.

Then continuously swap all rewards into HBD and add them to the pHBD:USDC LP.

Don't wait for a pump, the difference will be minimal.

Just get it working for us on autopilot now.

...what to do with this LEO (and any forthcoming)?

I don't think community accounts should be actively dumping LEO.

Power it up and delegate to wherever those votes will be put to good use.

Keep spreading those tokens!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for the feedback. Seems like a sound plan. The LEO, from what I can see, being used for curating is likely going to be the winner.

Unless I get a better idea from someone, it makes the most sense.

I don't think community accounts should be actively dumping LEO.

Hard to argue with this mindset.

I think it should be powered up and the contest is a good idea too. By running contests in a bit to promote the various market talks or projects the community is focused upon during a certain period of time, upvotes will be received too. (bringing the much needed Hive and HBD rewards proposed to be moved all over to Polycub and add to the LP)

At the same time, contests will boost engagements and bring more eyes to the community. I don't know if my thoughts are clear.

All very true. That seems to be the consensus from the respondents on here. Powering it and figuring out some kind of contest will likely be the winner.

This initiative by @leomarkettalk is very good to help us continue to accumulate more tokens from the second layer of #Hive and have our #HBDs in liquid for anything that is needed in the future and depending on the needs. Of course it will help a lot when converting them to pHBD-USDC. Surely very soon I will be sharing with all of you since it is a very interesting place where it will allow us to continue increasing our portfolio.

We will see how it all goes. This is the commitment that we need to do to support an important initiative to the community.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The truth is that it is a very important step for the #Hive blockchain and supporting #HBD and the other second layer tokens will help us grow and make it even stronger.

So glad to stumble upon this for this first time...
Am interested in learning any leo and I think the leo power should be used to run a contest that will invite and drive more people into the leomarket talk.

Well done for all the great works done here.

Leo is a great platform to learn about and from. One of the benefits of being on Leofinance is you are experiencing cryptocurrency while discussing it. So the education is taking place on a couple of levels.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I would suggest using Leofinance.io for your comments.

That way you get your full boat of LEO author rewards.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks for this.
I appreciate.

That will be another 1k HBd addition to the pHbd pool.

The higher this pool gets the more we solve the scarcity issue we have with HBD.

Khal does have a lot of Leo to send this week lol. I'm sure next week will be different, he's keened on #1, which seems impossible.

he's keened on #1, which seems impossible.

He keeps proving it to be.

This week, he came in 6th. Going backwards is not a sound strategy.

Khal does have a lot of Leo to send this week lol.

Yes. Serves him right. He should pay up until he gets it right.

Going backwards is not a sound strategy

Of course, it's not a sound one.

Hopefully, he can bring his A game next week.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

He is a busy one so we have to forgive him. However, that does not mean we cant relish beating him to a pulp in this.

This is a good initiative for PHBD-USDC farm, liquidity is almost at $300k as it stands at 298k.

This would put a continuous liquidity in pHBD-USDC pool.

A contest wouldn't be bad as one haven't been seen to get some Leo, so it'd be much appreciated.

Kudos on @leomarkettalk.

I need to get to #ProjectBlank

There are some options for sure. A contest can always be fun.

As for the LP, it is good that it is growing. @Leomarkettalk is going to add to it and leave it there.

That's a good one to hear about @leomarkettalk

I am very interested in Leomarkettalk I would like to publish to see that kind of methodology,

Awesome!!! Great decision Task. Contributes to the whole system.

Do we power it up and run some type of contest to delegate it out?

Power it up and launch a contest. 🚀
