Elon Musk's offer to purchase Twitter was accepted by the board. It now has to pass a vote of the shareholders. This is likely to happen meaning the company is his.

In this video I discuss some of the details of the deal, how it was financed, and why Elon did it.

Great video mate! and you have good points too, i think we all are winners after Elon Musk bought twitter, free speech wins, crypto will win, we in hive could get more people on board with twitter being crypto friendly, i know for sure the user base is going to work, im an example, i leaved twitter because i was tired of getting banned because of my political views and my way to see life, it was just prohibited to be me there and now im allowed to be there again so im going to start using the platform again and growing again! My sister called me like an hour ago, and told me hey im coming back to twitter this is the best moment of twitter! im seeing a big amount of following in a lot of accounts, i think we are in the best hands, i hope Elon Gets back his money too so ill be ok if twitter makes money too! I do not think any of us can tell what Elon has up his sleeves bu then we must say that accepting cryptocurrency would be a big one. Let's rmembr that this is business for Elon

As a turn of events.. Elong Musk will decide to sell twitter to the HIVE community for all of taskmaster and jons cummie tokens..

Technically probably it is possible to put Twitter on the Hive blockchain, and still keeping its ownership. Similarly to how dApps and games (for example Splinterlands) are being built/developed on the Hive blockchain.

Will that be possible Elon is a good business man ,and twitter generate up to $3b yearly,

Hey @taskmaster4450, here is a little bit of BEER from @pixresteemer for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that you can use BEER at dCity game to **buy dCity NFT cards** to rule the world.

I argue that there are thirty-eight viable alternatives to Youtube. LBRY is getting traction.

My account on Twitter has been suspended. I don't know why. My lost income because of that is .... 0.

Elon is a businessman. I think he is trying to pursue his version of free speech so long as it doesn't affect profitablitity. From what I see, Twitter is doing a lot of things that cause them to not maximize profits and I don't think censorship or bans are the solution either.

Or it's about collecting data for Ai...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

While AI is one reason, I don't really think that is the main reason for Elon's purchase. I think Twitter's influence as the public square gives it more than enough value.

Have a listen to Vin Armani talk about this, it's a very interesting and logical point of view:

Perhaps, it's only about a town square and the right to speak, but perhaps there's more to it than that.

I heard the part where you mentioned "human proof" and I don't like the sound of the KYC thing, lol! But I hope that it isn't.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think it means KYC, but only time will tell.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I guess so too. It would be a turn off hehe. But yes, no sweating for now, let's just see how it goes.

If anything, we can also stop using Twitter. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I dropped Facebook a while back and I don't miss it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh yes, especially when ProjectBlank goes live. I have broken up with FB too for years now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I keep hearing about Project Blank, I should look into what that is!

I keep Facebook, for the marketplace... in the states it seems to have replaced Craigslist!

According to TaskMaster and I quote him:

ProjectBlank = Twitter on the blockchain
the more $LEO you have, the better

There seems to be an airdrop for $LEO holders when ProjectBlank gets launched.

The demand for "human-ness" may have something to do with the data he will be able to collect. Ai is a big thing for Elon Musk, Twitter is a great platform to collect a certain kind of "human-ness".

Have a listen to Vin Armani talking about Elon buying Twitter

It's really an interesting point of view on data collection, and it makes quite a lot of sense actually.

I saw some rumors today of how the "deal" would/could fall apart. Man would that roller coaster those who see Elon as the savior of Free Speech.

I think the world could march on just fine if Twitter fell off the planet.

Yet, I'm happy to see the conversation about free speech move forward.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Isn't really about free speech though?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Elon can't save free speech, and there are so many times I don't understand his motives.

I do think it's an interesting development that he brings attention to it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's the thing about free speech... the laws don't really matter much when the society we live in shames those who say things its been programed to believe (as a collective) to be "wrong", or to be "offensive".

Yes for sure it will be interesting!

Sorry brother, I have not yet matured to watch the video and to comprehend it, in terms of understanding spoken English. I tried, but I only understood a few words. But, thanks to the title, I understood what was at stake. I hope you write about the main purpose of Musk's acquisition of Twitter.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Some really great points that I didn't consider. However we also need to think that Elon is the Establishments Top Boy and any actions he is taking are not for any Nobel reasons but to continue the elites agenda in some way.

Summary:
In this video, Task discusses Elon Musk's potential acquisition of Twitter and the implications it may have. He highlights that once the deal is completed, Twitter will become a private company under Elon Musk's ownership, which would give him the freedom to run the platform as he sees fit without the need to comply with SEC regulations. Task speculates that Musk's interest in Twitter may stem from his views on free speech and potentially making it more profitable. He also mentions the possibility of cryptocurrency integration on Twitter under Musk's ownership. Task emphasizes the importance of freedom of speech for democracy and suggests that Twitter might become a free speech platform, contrasting it with the data ownership structure of Web 3 platforms. He concludes by noting that Musk's influence could potentially improve Twitter's platform and attract users from other social media platforms like Facebook.

Detailed Article:

Task begins the video by diving into Elon Musk's potential acquisition of Twitter, emphasizing how the company, post-acquisition, will transition into becoming a private entity exclusively owned by Musk. He mentions the intricate details of the deal, including the involvement of 12 banks and speculates on Musk's equity contribution, potentially involving Tesla stock or equity from SpaceX.

The discussion then shifts towards the implications of Twitter becoming a private company. Task highlights that the move would exempt Twitter from public reporting requirements, leading to reduced transparency regarding the company's financials once it goes private. He underlines that as a private entity, Twitter under Musk's ownership would have the freedom to operate the platform without stringent SEC compliance regulations that apply to publicly traded companies.

Task delves into Musk's motivations for potentially acquiring Twitter, suggesting that besides business interests, Musk's advocacy for free speech could be a driving force behind the acquisition. He notes the challenges Twitter has faced, such as stagnant stock performance and earnings, indicating a need for revitalization under Musk's leadership.

Moreover, Task speculates on future developments on Twitter under Musk's ownership, including potential initiatives to combat bots, spam, and scams on the platform. He also mentions the likelihood of cryptocurrency integration on Twitter, aligning with Musk's known affinity for the digital asset space.

Furthermore, Task explores the concept of Twitter potentially transforming into a free speech platform, contrasting its structure with the decentralized ownership and data control of Web 3 platforms. He underscores that while Twitter may lean towards facilitating free speech, it is not likely to mirror the functionalities of true Web 3 platforms due to centralized data ownership and content moderation policies.

In conclusion, Task reflects on the potential impact of Musk's involvement in Twitter, positing that his influence could enhance the platform's appeal and potentially drive users from other social media platforms like Facebook. He closes by expressing optimism for the future of Twitter under Musk's ownership and hints at forthcoming developments that may shape the platform's trajectory in the tech landscape.
