Web3 will be bigger than people think

For all those who believe #web3 is just a buzzword or a phase, this is not the case.

Sort:

1/ The old model of scarcity that we know as the Internet is dying. This mechanism was disruptive because it made information, something that was scarce, abundant. Hence, a lot of the value went from those entities to the Internet.

2/ Of course, if there was sudden abundance, was something scarce? Yes. And we experience this on a daily basis. With the Internet, information is abundant but the networks are scarce. There are a handful that control everything.

3/ This means that developers are limited in where they can build. Once simply cannot tap into Twitters servers and use their data for example. This changes with #web3.

my worry is many are still investing there time and effort trying to penetrate markets that are monopolized at the expense of getting into Web3 and start building there way up slowly.

4/ Disruption happens when scarcity is made abundant. This is why web3 will be huge. It is making networks abundant, hence sucking the value out of them. We can expect similar results as to what happened to the information providers.

5/ We are embarking upon a new paradigm which will disrupt everything. Anyone who believes this is not happening doesnt understand the scarcity/abundance ratio.

Grasping this provides great insight.

It is already bigger than I thought it would be 3 years ago. I am very excited for the future.

Like email two decades ago, or any other new technology. Or computers, think IBM saw a market for seven computers in the world at the time with one per nation.

I am eager to see how things will unfold, and those who chose not to participate may regret their decision. I am prepared for their disappointment, and I have no sympathy for their situation.
