Many don't, or at least not fully. blockchain without crypto is actually quite useless - it is the transport of value that matters, and the ability to track it.

I suppose you are right, we are all working with self-interest, but, I also know that combining efforts and working together builds faster, stronger, and builds community.

If I want to go to space, I am going to have to convince a lot of people smarter and richer than me to help :)

I am a lot freer with my money in taking chances, I have more of it to do that with, thanks to the blockchain. Never forget that. I don't. If not for it, would I have this extra? Maybe, but, maybe not.

I wouldn't. I am quite sure. I haven't used mine outside blockchains, but I have used it a lot on :)
