Is it the first?, I got one a couple of yrs ago that what touted as the "first", I got some for £10 at the time. I remember because I got 5, one for each of my nephews and nieces.
Just looked at the site, you linked, it does say "one of the first", and I have a feeling that I got mine for a company called "Royal Mint", not the actual Royal Mint, I dunno. You might know the company, they send out offers by post alot
Ahh!, found it https://www.londonmintoffice.org/silver-coins/sovereigns , 2019 looks about right too, and I definitely paid £10 each
London mint = dog shit.... extensive dog shot too. Lol
Turn the coin over. I bet it says Gibraltar, or some place not UK.
I really shouldnt diss the london mint too much, theyve done a handfull of semi-decent coins, but theyre not actually legal tender in the UK. Theyre a procate mint, that like to confuse elderly folks to part with a lotnog money. Usually through monthly subscriptions to cheap, plated tat. I avoid them.
Yea, I got that they were rather dodgy, but I reckoned a pure silver coin was worth a £10 at the time ( I'm a total noob here and don't do anything with coins really) I'd have a look at a coin, but I gave them away a few yrs ago.
So, this one is the real first silver sov then ?
