RE: Money Is Fleeting, The Real Value Is "You"

in LeoFinance3 years ago

Hi @Josediccus, I think a lot of us can relate to this post. I can personally relate from my time a few years back when I was doing contact work.

I have always been a fiscally responsible person when it comes to money, but during those contracting years the money flow in was so good. Over time without even knowing it, we began to spend more and more, as we relaxed into a new lifestyle.

Our big mistake was we knew the contracting was not a permanent thing and that the money flow would return to reality, which it did.

It took us a long time to adjust our spending habits back to what was sustainable.

That being said, what we learnt from that time has been very valuable. Now we have all sorts of side hustles to make a bit extra. Our side hustles are hard work, but they are rewarding, both personally and in dollars.

We are the value, we just need to apply ourselves to unlock the value.

I can relate to your story. Its difficult to save when the stream of income is huge, it feels really good. But then it takes a lot of Financial discipline to actually save especially when the money is coming in bulk and that is why its us that determine our standpoint especially when it comes to our plannings and how we use money.
