RE: With 0 rewards, you’re still winning on Hive compared to Facebook

I let people decide if my Hive posts have any value. I think these could be the boom times for most of us as if we did get flooded by 'influencers' they might take most of the rewards, if stakeholders decide they deserve them of course.

For now I think there is a lot of rewarding people just for having contributed something, be it financial investment, development or community building. That allows us to increase our stake and exercise some control of rewards.

The biggest diversity from FB is that people can choose how visible their content is. I would not put some info about myself or others on Hive. I don't know how viable that sort of control is on a blockchain. It would need encryption to control access.

There will be low tolerance for ads on Hive as we can use a different front end if they are too obtrusive. On FB they are out of control. It seems half my feed is ads and I have to play whack-a-mole to try and reduce them. That spoils the experience there. I will admit that the odd ad has been useful to me, but it's a very low hit rate.

Yes I agree with everything, my point is all of should be grateful for anything we get in rewards on here! I am, I know you are.

And I'm happy to reward people for what objectively I think has very little value, I like the chaos in it!

For sure there is a long way to go in terms of front end development.
