Not all experience is the same

Anyone here play Warzone during covid lockdowns?

At the time, I hadn’t played a lot of video games….

One day I plugged in my PS4… and fired up Warzone, a free call of duty game

I really enjoyed it, the graphics were good. But at the time, I didn’t have anyone to play with, but really enjoyed the game.

However I didn’t like how when you died you basically had to go waiting in the menu again…

So getting unlucky means you are spending most of your time in the menu looking for a game and waiting for it to launch

Then I learned, that Warzone was based on Modern Warfare 2019..

I saw some “killstreak” videos and thought, ok, I need this game. So for the first time in years, I spent money on a video game, and I had a lot of fun.

Eventually, I reconnected with some buddies and started to play warzone with them, and through them I met his friends so I made new friends..

Fast forward lets say 6 months, and I remember this one interaction that stuck with me

I was known as the beast, the one who would carry the team, get the most kills, pull some amazing moves, etc etc

I have always been good at FPS shooter games

But one day, one of my buddy’s friend’s made some comment about how if they played all day they would have as much score as me, insinuating that I play a lot

Want to laugh? In call of duty you can actually see how many days, hours minutes you’ve been playing

He had DAYS of gameplay over me… literal days..

So what was my reply when he said this? Basically I had to explain to him, that if we both play for 3 hours, and I am getting 20 kills a game, and he is getting 2… then clearly I will be a higher level …

I mean, we are not the same. Time is not the deciding factor, clearly, cause you have way more hours than me, it’s experience and skill

Well, I like to think, that after 15 years of paying attention to markets and focusing on this and that, I have become one with the market, and can flow with the waves.

Does this mean I am trading all day making mad gains? No, I am not THAT tuned in. But in general, I know when things SHOULD be moving.

So when I made that post about selling gold for crypto… what happened?

Well, most of my favourite cryptos are up well over 30% and gold has been tumbling

Again, like I mentioned in that other post. I am not saying go trade your metals or anything

The idea was that gold and silver is money, and now seems to be a good time to invest, and what do you use to invest? Money!
