I know I have been teasing you guys all week, well its finally time to show off the gold coin I have been talking about
Introducing, The Klondike Gold Rush: 1 oz Panning for Gold Coin (2021)
First time I saw this coin I thought to myself wow, what a beauty. But the premium on this coin was really high. Well, boxing week sales brought that premium down to a reasonable price and I thought to myself how can I not purchase this.
This is the 125th anniversary coin from Klondike, it comes in a capsule in an assay card.
I am pretty sure I heard somewhere that keeping this coin inside its card retains a lot of its premium, so thats what I will do.
This is my only 99999 gold coin, I know I know, not that big of a difference between 9999 and 99999 but still, I love it :)
I pulled out the trusty magnifying class to examine this coin in all its glory and I must say the attention to detail is phenomenal.
Will be really hard to top this coin, but as it stands this is my all time favourite piece of gold.

BC wouldn't be in Canada if it were not for lure of Klondike gold and thus the urgency to put the railroad into the West Coast as a condition of joining the Confederation.
I read somewhere on RCM literature (mint.ca somewhere) that the RCM policy is that the gold should be sourced from BC mines in the historic Klondike region as is the policy with the Gold Maple Leaf is required to be sourced from Canadian mines. This kind of policy has been practiced in the past as to make the coin more numismaticaly relevant but adds to the premium as well.

Wow so nice. There's almost 9% premium on the coin, it's price at us dollar $1950, some places are selling it for as much as $2300. I personally it will rise in value as a collectors coin !
