Bitcoin and crypto markets are experiencing a short-term "bullish vacuum," as there are no key data points in the upcoming two weeks, leading to a likely continued rally until early May. However, there are still events this week that could influence the market. On Tuesday, SEC chairman Gary Gensler will have to justify his regulation of the US bitcoin and crypto industry. On Thursday, weekly data on initial jobless claims in the US are due, which could be a further warning signal of a recession in the US. A stabilizing labor market and falling dollar index (DXY) could provide support for a further uptrend in Bitcoin and crypto if sustained.
