I will also add that using it this way is WAY cheaper than a monthly subscription, in my experience.
Plus you get so much more flexibility. Once you start coding for instance, you can use that same API key in your coding environment

Exactly. Once you have OpenWebUI set up, you will be able to add your API key through its interface, afterwhich you'll be able to add any openai model(s) you want to your web interface.
Then, whenever you use the models in this interface, it charge the credit cost to your API key. When your $5 worth of credits on said key runs out, it will not work until you add more credits to your API key
