My first blockchain post: Here is a short introduction of myself.

I first found out about Steem back in 2018. This was well before Web3.
Something went wrong on the Steem blockchain back then, and I found out from my friend @acesontop, that Steem forked into Hive, and that most of the users migrated from Steem to Hive.
After talking with Adrian, I followed the steps and created this new account.
@acesontop also helped me power up my account, to publish this post, and I thank him for that.

I'd like to write about blockchain technology projects and artificial intelligence advancements.

I'm posting in @LeoFinance because the focus of my future posts, and this one, is on the blockchain.

So here it is: in a couple of weeks, the halving will occur on the Bitcoin blockchain, that being the main event, in a list of other cryptocurrencies that have their halving coming.

Back in 2016, I was using Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 rigs to mine for ethereum and when that became non-profitable, switched to mining for bitcoin gold. After some time I gave up mining and no longer mine for crypto.

According to the countdowns, Bitcoin(BTC) will halve on 18th of April 2024 and Bitcoin Gold(BTG) will halve on the 24th of April 2024.

Bitcoin Cash(BCH) halved a few days ago and surprising was the fact that so many altcoins are having their halving soon, as in this spring, or this summer.

Among them are a few surprises for me:

• Ethereum Classic(ETC) halving at block number 20 million and 1
• Dash(DASH), halving at block number 2,102,401
• Zcash(ZEC), halving at block number 3,139,200
• Litecoin(LTC) halving at block number 3,360,000

These are coins that were live in 2016, when the second Bitcoin(BTC) halving happened, on July 9, 2016.

My guess is that 2024 will be full of surprises in the crypto space.
