Land Surveying will redistribute wealth around!

The land has been a long time coming. Many of the early movers that got land in PRE-SALES have been sitting on a digital asset that only produced SPS as a passive income stream.

However, on April 4, 2023, surveying created some value in the land because the land whitepaper for V1.5!!

If you have been active in the last day, you might have noticed Cryptoeater's listing. Based on the pattern of being the "lowest" prices on Common/ Rare / EPIC and Legendary, I would assume he/she is taking some profit off the table. That is GOOD for everyone. He/She can cash out some assets and hand that to other players. This process of redistributing wealth is often helping those that are just a few steps behind him acquire the assets they are looking for.

If you invested $5K, $10K or $15K several years ago, this makes sense. You sat on an asset that was hard to determine the value of the NFT. It wasn't until the land details were surveyed that we knew the value of the NFT.

Land creates floor prices on "weak" cards based on rarity type.

Many of the SplinterlandsTV Streams were also talking about this. The opportunity of land and how much resources it takes to "max" each land is what can/will drive card prices up. We have already seen how it has created a floor price on cards based on rarity. This is GOOD for the game. A card not PLAYED much on the battlefield has more VALUE as a worker on land. This is a win-win for all asset holders.

Land will get more complex and add more layers to the game!

In the past, it was straightforward to "min-max" your assets. However, I believe that we will see with LAND will change this. It will get harder as there are many variables and things to do as LAND v2.0 roll up. Future BUILDING upgrades will be a DEC sunk. This will force you to decide if is it better to FOCUS on a single building on a single PLOT or level all the buildings on all your PLOT. The choice is yours. A building can take resources like Wood, Ore, etc., as the raw materials needed to upgrade to a higher level.

Other types of Buildings ; New Opportunities for NON-Land Owners?

In all businesses, there are middlemen. Suppliers, flea markets, and many other businesses focus on improving TECHNOLOGY to make your production more effective. I can see this as something SPL can do. Adding new "industries" into the existing game will make it HARDER even for the whales to do it all. I think LAND might be just the beginning with ITEMS and SPELL. As the game gets more complex, the specialization of a SKILL/Tech gets more important.

Some players don't have land, but what if they added a way for ** ***non-land owners***** to own still a business on someone else land? Yes, you need to split your business's profits with the landowner. This is like real-life.

Lotto / RNG to hand out some new stuff in the future.

As Splinterlands move into this new phase of the game (4+ years), it has been driven by those who believe in the game's vision. Those earlier backers and investors have done well, and they should be. It is a RISKY project when you are raising FUNDS on Kickstarter. They were rewarded for BACKING and BELIEVE in the SPL's Team. However, I would like to see an opportunity in 2024 for those that missed the Kickstarter or land presale.

I want to see an RNG-type Lotto for new stuff for Land v2.5+ and beyond. Why? In the last 24 hours, I have watched some folks with 3 or 4 plot open up magical land or a KEEP. This means that while WHALES has betters odds, it still REQUIRES some LUCK. This excitement is what many of us are here for. It is part of the game.

Imagine buying Industry Licenses to further your Skill/Tech tree. Not everyone will get the same abilities. This creates the same effect that we have in LAND v1.0 today. Folks buy and sell the land because everyone approaches the game differently. We can trade and buy/sell what we need with others to focus on the area of business we want to own.

Let's all be honest here. Pack opening has that feeling. Daily and EoS Chest has that feeling. Yes, LAND Surveying has that same feeling. We all wanted a KEEP or an EPIC+ land. We all wanted a chance for a magical/occupied land! This luck is part of the game design that we enjoy. Sometimes we luck out, and other times we have to sell assets to get what we want!!

For some Tract and region owners, it makes sense to sell plots so you can collect taxes from other players.

This also means you cashed out for profit and helped others build their assets.

Look at the long game. I would like to see the day when all Common plots are worth $1K USD or more for each one.

Prices has drop as more SUPPLY comes to market.

There are LOTS of COMMON plots in the game.
Some of the best values is buying common when we know where the FLOOR price is at. At the moment, there is only 600 Common on the market place. I would expect that number to move toward 1000 plots!!

Looking for $40-45 Common!!

Today, Common hit $59!!
