I like the thought of receiving upvotes based on my ranking
I agree. This is what we use to do with Holybread and I feel it is a way to reward an active community.
If you are not active in the community (i.e. a player who thinks they are in investor) then you can try to play the marketplace game.
but active community members should be rewarded.
