How about appropriately using existing resources to increase education rather than lowering the bar?!

As you know, people are different in their mental abilities. Even if you dump more money in an education system, there will always be people lagging behind, also because for some good marks are not a primary goal. Money is better spent in supporting those who really have high aims, instead of bringing all to a minimum level. What Oregon did, was the third way - giving up completely. Anyway, market will tell who is capable and who not (unless you live in Europe where there is a place for any moron - politics).
