Well strokes dont necessarily kill people. It actually can add more to the costs since these people are on Medicare.
Very true. I suppose the statistics on how many people survive a stroke at various ages would factor in.

There's about a 16% death rate, overall. So, yes, medicare costs would probably outweigh any social security savings.
