Things to be thankful for on a Tuesday

It’s been an intense couple of days with some very high highs and some very low lows and so I’m not really in much of an intense writing mood but I want to try and share something and let my thoughts and feelings flow.

Here are a few things I’m thankful for this past week:

1 I took a day trip outside the city to join a kind of party, concert thing that I don’t know how to describe. The event didn’t really seem very welcoming of cameras so I didn’t take many pictures but the nature nearby was phenomenal and recharged me!

The pictures really don’t do it justice. It was about 30x more beautiful than I would imagine just looking at these pictures.

2 I was able to reconnect with a community in the mountains. I’m not incredibly close with anyone there but just knowing them makes the idea of creating a base outside the city that much more realistic. I hope to get to know them better during the course of the next year.

  1. I’m STILL not done with that translation project (mostly because I went to the country this weekend and was really busy with other work today and yesterday BUT an end is finally in sight. This project helped me to figure out my priorities a little bit and made me realize what I want to spend my time doing.

  2. I haven’t pull the trigger yet but I have a few thousand USD in crypto ready to sell. I really hate to part with it but I need a new computer, new shoes and maybe even a new guitar all before long, and I’ve been just barely scrapping by focusing more energy on artistic pursuits than my main source of income and hope to continue like this so this will give me an extra 2-3 months leeway to not worry too much about my income.

Hopefully in that time the two students who left and plan on coming back will and I can find another student or two, that would make my income more than enough so that I can put all my extra energy into creativity.

  1. I got about 60 new subscribers on YouTube thanks to support from INLEO and the rest of Hive. I’m kind of shocked. When leaving the link in my posts I tend to get a single new subscriber a month at most but my active presence seems to be able to attract more support through short form. I’m so thankful to everyone who followed and watched, the best way to support me there is watch time and sharing the shorts with anyone who might like them!

  2. I had 8 lessons today which is insane. I usually cap my schedule at 5 lessons because the amount of mental bandwidth required for 8 classes is way way more than that required for 8 hours of most work. Like imagine making an 8 hour speech with a pre break every hour.

The reason I’m thankful for this is that it covers half of the classes I need to have in one week in order to stay afloat.

  1. The year is coming to a close and I’m not entirely sure what that means but it feels like a nice period on things and a chance to have a new fresh start. My health is better than it’s been in about 7 or 8 years, my neck is moving back into place and the tightness is going away. I worked out yesterday and didn’t get any extra tightness at all!

Hopefully by this time next week I’ll be able to start writing seriously again. Until then!
